Nothing today launched the new Phone (3a) Series, marking them as the latest bid in the mid-range smartphone market.  A follow up to the Phone (2a), the new models, Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, promise to offer an upgraded camera system with optical zoom, powerful Snapdragon performance, and advanced Nothing OS innovations all packed within Nothing’s unique transparent back design.

The Phone (3a) Series features upgraded glass back panels and a symmetrical internal structure. The improved build includes an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance and has the company’s lowest carbon footprint to date, says the company. The phones come with a large 6.77-inch Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and 3000 nits peak brightness.

A standout feature of the Phone (3a) Series is its upgraded camera system. The Phone (3a) brings a 50MP main sensor and a Sony ultra-wide sensor, while the Phone (3a) Pro comes with a periscope camera offering 3x optical zoom and improved low-light performance. The 50MP telephoto camera in the Phone (3a) enables 2x optical zoom and up to 30x AI-powered ultra zoom while the Phone (3a) Pro’s periscope camera offers 60x zoom, along with a telemacro mode for extreme close-up shots.

Both models also feature high-quality front cameras, with the Phone (3a) offering a 32MP sensor, and the Phone (3a) Pro boasting a 50MP sensor capable of recording 4K videos. These cameras are powered by the TrueLens Engine 3.0, which combines computational algorithms, AI processing, and multi-frame technology to produce professional-grade images.

On the performance front, the Phone (3a) Series is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, providing up to 33% faster CPU performance and 11% improved graphics compared to the previous generation. Both models are backed by a 5000mAh battery, offering up to two days of use on a full charge. Fast charging has been upgraded to 50W, providing a 50% charge in under 20 minutes.

The Phone (3a) Series runs on the latest Nothing OS 3.1, built on Android 15.  Essential Space, a new AI-powered feature, helps users capture and store notes and ideas with ease, adding extra value to the software experience.

Pricing for the Phone (3a) starts at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, while the Phone (3a) Pro starts at Rs 27,999 for the 8GB+128GB model.
