You will soon be able to share your favorite ‘moments’ while watching any series on Netflix. Yes, you heard it right! Netflix has introduced a new feature that will allow you to capture and share any scene from Netflix series/film.
In an official blog Netflix explained the feature will allow you to save and share your favorite scenes from Netflix series and films. Here’s a detailed look at how it will upgrade your Netflix streaming.
Save your ‘Moments’
The new update is made for enhancing your viewing experience, Netflix claimed. With the feature you can easily capture ‘iconic moments,’ and then save them. Plus point? You get the option to share them. The tagline for the entire update is “Save, Relive, and Share”. So, now you can easily relieve and share your favorite moments with your friends.
So, how does this feature work? You get a ‘moments’ option at the bottom of your screen. Now while watching a series, you want to capture some scene. Just tap on the ‘moments’ option. Now your captured scene gets saved in the ‘My Netflix’ tab. Now, when you start rewatching the show, it will start from the scene you had captured. In addition to this, you can also share the scene that you had captured earlier.
For example, you are watching a series and you come across a scene relevant to your past experience. Now you want to share the scene. Just go to the ‘My Netflix’ section and choose the scene you had saved earlier. Then you will get a sharing option. Now just click on that and you are ready to share them on Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platforms. Additionally, you can also instantly share a ‘moment’ just after capturing it.
The future ahead
The popular streaming platform also highlighted that with the new update it aims to bring flexibility among Netflix users community. As of now the feature is available to iOS devices globally. The company plans to bring the feature for Android users in the coming weeks.
Moving ahead, looking at the number of ‘moments’ you can capture, you can get enough storage. Netflix spokesperson Dorian Rosenburg, claimed that storage concerns are minimal for most users. He explained that the number of ‘moments’ saved mostly depends on the length of the show or movie. However, you get enough space available across multiple titles. Furthermore, Netflix has also hinted about future updates. With these updates it may introduce additional options for you.
