As Microsoft kicked off its annual Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, it unveiled a new all-digital version of its Xbox Series X and S consoles.
It looks like that the new hardware refresh could help Xbox boost sales of its consoles which compete with Sony’s PlayStation 5.

This decision is an important step in Microsoft’s ambition to modernise its gaming hardware assortment and appeal to a rising digital-first audience.
It is believed that in addition to the ordinary Series X and S models, Microsoft, which is a tech giant, presented a special edition of the Series X. The new Series X has 2 terabytes of storage.
As the gaming industry reportedly suffers a downturn, it seems that the exhibition can be critical for Xbox and Microsoft. They expect to get back its hold on the gaming industry with the new launch of Xbox Series X and S consoles.

Microsoft’s event included trailers for more than a dozen games. The event also showcased the highly anticipated upcoming iteration of “Call of Duty”. Other highlights included “Doom: The Dark Ages,” which is the most recent instalment in the legendary “Doom” series.
The event also showcased a first peek at the next “Gears of War” game, which might bring an end of a five-year wait for one of Xbox’s most popular titles.
During the annual Xbox Games Showcase Microsoft also announced that many of these new games, including “Doom” and “Call of Duty,” will be available on Xbox Game Pass from the start. Furthermore, experts suggested the event had also demonstrated Microsoft’s commitment to its subscription service.
