According to The Verge, this time Meta can come up with updates around Meta AI. It is also suggested that Meta will finally take a big step in the world of Metaverse.
Meta Connect 2024: Announcements expected
The most anticipated launch during the Meta connect 2024 is the updated version of Meta Quest 3. Notably, Meta Quest is Meta’s own virtual reality (VR) headsets. It is also expected that the company might come up with an upgraded version of its Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses. A few months back Meta had collaborated with Ray-Ban to bring VR-supported sunglasses.
In addition to this, a cheaper version ‘Quest 3S’ priced at $299.99, is expected to come. Earlier Meta had introduced its Quest 2 and Quest 3 VR headsets. The Quest 3 was a bit pricey in comparison to the Quest 2. The Quest 2 was priced at $200 and the Quest 3 started from $500.So, the tech giant might come up with a cheaper version to make the product affordable for all. Other speculations suggest that the ‘Orion’ augmented reality (AR) glasses can also make an entry.
Furthermore, Meta might come up with a new Quest 4 lined up for 2026. Another pro level VR headset can also come designed for spatial computing, named as “La Jolla,” for 2027.
Meta Connect 2024: How to watch
The Meta’s Connect developer conference kicks-off today which is September 25. It’s a two day event, so it will end on September 26, 2024. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will inaugurate the conference with the Connect keynote. The keynote starts at 1PM ET / 10AM PT. This will be followed by a Developer keynote slated at 2PM ET / 11AM PT.
