Meta has announced expansion of its Meta AI with new features and multilingual capabilities to its users worldwide. Currently available in 22 countries, including recent additions like Argentina, Chile, and Mexico, Meta AI now supports languages such as Hindi, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, with plans for further expansions in the pipeline.
Users across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook can now leverage Meta AI as a versatile assistant that not only provides answers and inspiration but also enhances creative endeavours. The new creative tools helps users to transform their ideas into vivid images. Through the “Imagine me” feature, currently in beta in the US, users can generate personalised images based on prompts like “Imagine me surfing” or “Imagine me in a retro pink and green ski outfit.” This state-of-the-art personalisation model allows for a seamless integration of user photos with imaginative scenarios, facilitating easy sharing with friends and family.
Moreover, Meta AI has streamlined the process of creative editing with intuitive capabilities to add or remove objects from images. Meta will bring an “Edit with AI” button, promising further refinements for fine-tuning and perfecting imagined compositions.
Beyond creative endeavours, Meta AI is evolving to support more complex tasks with its largest open-source model, Llama 405B, now available on WhatsApp and meta.ai in Hindi and other languages. This enhancement enables users to delve into intricate subjects such as math problem-solving and coding, offering step-by-step explanations, debugging support, and expert-level guidance.
The integration of Meta AI extends beyond conventional platforms to include emerging technologies like Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and, in the near future, experimental support on Meta Quest in the US and Canada.
