Nothing, a London-based technology company, has announced that its upcoming first true flagship smartphone, Nothing Phone 3, will be manufactured locally in India. The Nothing Phone 3 will be produced at Nothing’s manufacturing facility in Chennai, which currently employs over 500 people, 95% of whom are women. By driving the production of key products locally, Nothing aims to increase efficiency, shorten lead times, and respond more quickly to market demand. The Nothing Phone 3 is scheduled to launch on July 1.
On the sidelines of the development, Akis Evangelidis, Co-Founder and India President, said, “India has been an important market for us ever since the very beginning of Nothing. Every one of our smartphones has been manufactured here — and Phone (3) proudly joins that list. As we accelerate our growth here, we’re doubling down on our investment in local manufacturing, talent, and innovation — fully aligned with the Make in India vision. Phone (3) marks a major milestone: our first true flagship, delivering the very best of Nothing. We can’t wait for our Indian users to experience it.”
Nothing has been steadily strengthening its customer support network nationwide. The brand currently runs five dedicated service centres in key cities—Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai—alongside more than 330 authorised service points and 20 priority service desks, with further expansion on the horizon. On the retail side, Nothing has significantly boosted its offline footprint, increasing its store presence from 2,000 to 10,000 locations over the past year.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei has hinted that the upcoming Phone 3 could carry a price tag of around £800 in the UK. Reflecting global pricing patterns, the device is expected to follow a similar pricing structure in other major regions. In India, the projected price range is between Rs 55,000 and Rs 65,000. In the U.S., it’s likely to debut at around $799, while in the UAE, the expected cost is close to AED 3,000.
