Jio has announced the launch of Jio AirFiber across 8 cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
Reliance Jio Infocomm’s chairman Akash Ambani said during the launch, “Our extensive fiber-to-the-home service JioFiber, already serves over 10 million customers, with hundreds of thousands more getting connected each month.” He added, “With JioAirFiber, we are expanding our addressable market to rapidly cover every home in our country with similar quality of service. JioAirFiber will enable millions of homes with world-class digital entertainment, smart home services and broadband, through its solutions across education, health, surveillance and smart home.”

As per the press release, it offers a wide range of digital entertainment, including over 550 HD TV channels, and free access to 16+ popular OTT apps. Additionally, Jio AirFiber offers smart home services like Cloud PC for education and work-from-home, security and surveillance solutions, healthcare, education, smart home IoT, gaming, and home networking.
Moreover, the press release reads that consumers will receive a WiFi router, a 4k Smart Set Top Box, and a voice-activated remote at no extra cost.

Jio AirFiber Plans
There’s an installation fee of Rs 1,000. However, those opting for annual plans have to pay zero. The basic plans offer 30Mbps for Rs 599 and 100Mbps options for Rs 899 and Rs 1,199. For those seeking even faster speeds, the Jio Air Fiber Max plans provide 300Mbps for Rs 1,499, 500Mbps for Rs 2,499, and a blazing 1Gbps for Rs 3,999.
