iQOO Neo 9 Pro India launch has been confirmed. iQOO will launch the latest entrant in its Neo 9 series in India sometime in February, 2024. An Amazon India listing has separately confirmed the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which indicates that iQOO is probably launching the Chinese iQOO Neo 9 as the Neo 9 Pro in India (the original Neo 9 Pro has the Dimensity 9300). Also, it all but confirms that a clash with the OnePlus 12R seems inevitable.
The iQOO Neo 9 series was launched in China in late December. There are two phones, iQOO Neo 9 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro, both are aggressively priced with largely the same specs and design. Speaking of which, iQOO has been teasing the India-bound iQOO Neo 9 Pro’s eye-catching red and white hue on social media and so, it is safe to assume that’s coming, surely.
The iQOO Neo 9, which is expected to be the template for the India-bound iQOO Neo 9 Pro, comes with a 6.78-inch 144Hz LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness and HDR10+ playback support. Under the hood, it has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. You get a 5,160mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging while software is Vivo’s OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.
For photography, the phone has a dual camera setup on the rear with a 50-megapixel main and 8-megapixel ultrawide while on the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. The iQOO Neo 9 also ships with dual speakers and Bluetooth 5.3 in addition to an in-screen fingerprint scanner for biometrics.
The specs are exciting no doubt but it is actually the price that iQOO has launched it at, that makes the iQOO Neo 9 (and 9 Pro) all the more desirable. The iQOO Neo 9 comes in a choice of 12GB/256GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB for CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 27,000), CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs 29,500), CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs 34,000) and CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs 39,000), respectively. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro comes in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB for CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 36,250), CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 40,000), CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs 42,500) and CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 47,000), respectively.
