Apple is reportedly gearing up for its annual iPhone launch event during the week of September 8, 2025, with September 9 or 10 being the frontrunners for the official reveal. This year’s lineup is expected to include four fresh additions — the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. One of the biggest changes in this cycle is the debut of the brand-new iPhone 17 Air, which is set to replace the previously used “Plus” variant in Apple’s smartphone range. Although enhancements are anticipated across all four models, the spotlight is firmly on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. According to circulating reports, these Pro versions might represent Apple’s most significant advancement in iPhone technology in years, potentially setting a new benchmark for the brand.

Now, ahead of official announcement, it appears that the iPhone 17 Pro may have just been seen in public for the first time. A user on X (previously known as Twitter) posted a few images showing an individual holding two iPhones. One of the devices, partially concealed in a black protective case, is widely speculated to be the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro.

Surprisingly, the person who shared the images isn’t typically associated with Apple hardware leaks. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reshared the post, commenting, “This looks legit.” And to be fair, there are several convincing details that suggest it could indeed be authentic.’

Speculation suggests that the rear of the iPhone 17 Pro will feature a rectangular camera module, with a vertical arrangement of the LED flash, rear microphone, and LiDAR scanner positioned along the right edge of the bump. In the leaked photo, the back panel appears to show circular cutouts in the upper-right section—likely intended for the flash and LiDAR sensor—adding further weight to the ongoing rumors.

iPhone 17 Pro Price:

Multiple sources suggest that a key highlight of the upcoming iPhone 17 series could be the significant price jump, particularly for the Pro variants. In India, the base iPhone 17 is likely to start at around Rs 79,900. The all-new iPhone 17 Air—set to take over from the former Plus edition—may be priced close to Rs 99,900. On the higher end, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to be launched at roughly Rs 1,45,000, while the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max could carry a hefty price tag nearing Rs 1,64,900.

iPhone 17 Pro camera:

A recent leak has surfaced, revealing three potential features for the iPhone 17 Pro models that haven’t been previously mentioned in any reports. First, Apple is said to be introducing a revamped Telephoto lens capable of delivering up to 8× optical zoom—an upgrade over the 5× zoom found in the iPhone 16 Pro series. Notably, the lens is expected to be adjustable, enabling seamless optical zoom across a range of focal lengths. Second, a brand-new professional-grade camera app may be on the way, designed to enhance both photography and videography.

This app would directly challenge popular third-party tools like Halide, Kino, and Filmic Pro, though it remains unclear whether it will be exclusive to the Pro models. Lastly, Apple might add a second Camera Control button on the top edge of the device, offering quick access to camera features. This would build on the existing camera shortcut found on the lower-right side of the iPhone 16 lineup.
