Instagram users report of having trouble in opening Instagram. As reported by downdetector around 11:15 am, around 24% of users faced connection issues. The Meta owned platform saw a connectivity issue across the globe. The issue was first highlighted by an X (earlier Twitter) in a public post. The X user posted that they received a ‘something went wrong’ message while trying to open Instagram.

What went wrong!

Over than 64% users faced trouble while logging in. They complained of facing technical glitch. This is not the first time when the Meta-owned social media platform faced glitches. Earlier in June, it had faced a similar global outage. Also a report Downdetector suggest that more than 6,500 people faces outage while using Instagram in and around 12 Pm. Notably, Downdetector is a crowdsourced outage tracking platform.

Netizens react

Many reacted after going through the issues. Netizens took the internet by storm. One user sarcastically posted on their X (previously Twitter), ‘Instagram is dead.’ Another user posted that he first thought he was the only one to face the issue.

Another added to it by saying ” Instagram down 8/10/2024. life is more beautiful without Instagram.”
