With the onset of the festive season, India’s e-commerce giants – Amazon and Flipkart, are getting ready to host the year’s biggest shopping sale events online. The Flipkart Big Billion Days and the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale events are kicking off on September 23 and for the tech community, there are some irresistible deals on the iPhones. While the iPhone 17 series will go on sale for the first time, it is the older models that are expected to come with incredible deals and offers.
Both Amazon and Flipkart have listed the iPhone 17 series for sale, which includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air. However, these iPhone models will not be getting any discounts owing to their launch status in the Apple ecosystem.
However, it will be the older models like the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 that will be available with attractive discounts to clear out the remainder stocks and encourage more people to get iPhones. Even the dated iPhone 13 will be available as a more affordable alternative for those who want to get a taste of the iOS ecosystem without spending a fortune.
Flipkart’s Big Billion Days: A focus on the iPhone 16
Flipkart is focusing on making the iPhone 16 series a major draw of its sale event. The base iPhone 16 model, originally priced at Rs 79,900, was selling for Rs 69,990 for the last few months. However, Flipkart will now be selling the iPhone 16 for Rs 51,999 flat, thereby making it a lot more accessible than ever. Buyers can further reduce this cost with additional bank offers and exchange bonuses. For instance, cardholders of Flipkart Axis Bank, and SBI can avail instant discounts, bringing the effective price down even further.
The premium Pro models are also seeing massive price cuts. The iPhone 16 Pro, which had a launch price of Rs 1,19,900, is expected to be available at an effective price of Rs 69,999 – a discount of over Rs 40,000. Similarly, the top-tier iPhone 16 Pro Max, originally priced at Rs 1,44,900, will be offered at an effective price of Rs 89,999. Early access to these deals begins on September 22 for Flipkart Plus and Black members.
The older iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 models are also expected to see a further reduction in price but it remains to be seen when Flipkart reveals such details.
Amazon’s Great Indian Festival: Focusing on iPhone 15
Amazon is directly competing with its own aggressive pricing on iPhones. The Amazon Great Indian Festival is offering a jaw-dropping deal on the iPhone 16 Pro, with its effective price dropping to just Rs 57,105 after a combination of credit card and exchange offers. This makes it an even more attractive deal than Flipkart’s announced price.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is also priced competitively at Rs 89,999 on the platform, matching its rival.
Amazon is yet to reveal the price deals on the iPhone 15, but based on the teasers, it seems that it could be a more tempting deal over the iPhone 16 deal from Flipkart.
