Industry reacts

Experts believe that the internet has been a bit of a wild west when it comes to content. User’s  see something incredible, a hilarious video or a stunning image, and can’t identify if it’s real or some fancy computer trickery. “ When I see a ‘Made with AI’ label, I can take a step back and think critically about what I’m seeing. That extra context empowers me to be a smarter, more critical consumer of information online. It can bring a web where truth and transparency take center stage and democratise information,” Somdutta Singh, first-generation Serial Entrepreneur, founder and CEO Assiduus Global Inc, LP Angel Investor and ex-member Niti Aayog, explained.

From what it is understood, the rise of generative AI programs has the potential to revolutionise the workforce in a different way  in comparison to the early waves of automation. However, the change can also create concern for both businesses and individual workers. At a business level, firms needs to observe how competitors are adopting generative AI solutions. “With so much content added alongside human generated content, it’s inevitable to hide it or let it be ambiguous. Adding transparency is a good step and we’ll see this happening everywhere and this is good for everyone. Seeing content from AI would only encourage people to use AI in more responsible way and consume it with the right expectation,” Ajay Yadav, co-founder, Simplified, concluded.
