Dell today launched the 2024 refresh of its ultra-premium XPS 13 laptop with the Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor in India. The new laptop builds on the existing XPS 13 and adds a bit more power and AI smarts thanks to an all-new NPU (Neural Processing Unit) under the hood.
Dell XPS 13: Top specs, features and more
The XPS 13 2024 refresh is made to support all AI-powered features, keeping in mind today’s AI-driven era with the help of the Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor family.
One of the key features is that the NPU has the ability to handle about 48 trillion operations per second (TOPS). This can allow you to access AI capabilities such as generating images, text or process video at a faster rate than usual laptops.
It also has Intel Arch graphics for AI-generated content creation facilities. Now you can make high quality videos or edit them within minutes with AI.
Moving on, the XPS 13’s display uses Eyesafe technology, which promises to protect your eyes from strain. Also, you can adjust brightness without killing your battery charge, Dell says. You get up to 26 hours of usage on a version with FHD+ display, per the company.
Another plus point of this laptop is that it’s easy to carry. With a weight of just 1.2 Kg the XPS 13 has a thickness of just 14.8mm. So, you get a light yet power-packed laptop to carry on the go. The company also claims that the XPS 13 is made with 20% recycled materials and using energy-efficient components.
The laptop has a minimalist yet premium design. Also, the XPS 13’s 13.4-inch Infinity Edge display is said to be the first to feature tandem OLED technology. You also get Dolby Vision playback.
