As Apple releases its iPadOS 18.2 and the iOS 18.2, it also comes up with a bunch of new features powered by Apple intelligence. Notably Apple intelligence is Apple’s own artificial intelligence (AI).
Among the updates, Apple also brought some new features for its users. Among them was Genmoji. This feature was first teased during the Apple WWDC 2024. Let’s have a look at how you can master using this feature.
How to use Genmoji
So, how do you use Genmoji, the latest feature of Apple. To create a Genmoji, you’ll need a device that is up to date with iOS 18.2/iPadOS 18.2 or later and compatible with Apple Intelligence. Here’s how to create an Genmoji of your creative mind:
- First, open a conversation and click on the text field.
- Next you will get a smiley icon or a globe icon. Now tap the smiley icon or the globe.
- After this you will get a text bar. Now describe the emoji you’d like to create and then click on “Done.”
- Now you are all set to share and send your fresh new personalized emoji.
You can also delete a Genmoji. To do so, you need to go back to the emoji keyboard. Now you can either swipe right through all the pages or just tap the sticker icon. After that select the Genmoji you want to delete. Now long press and hold it. Now you will get a ‘remove’ option. Click on that and your Genmoji will be deleted.
Understanding Genmoji
So, what are Genmoji and what’s the hype about it? They are custom emojis you can create if you have the iPadOS 18.2 or iOS 18.2 update. These emojis could be made as per your imagination. These are made with help from Apple Intelligence. For example you describe what emoji you want to see, Apple’s AI will do its best to generate it. Suppose you want to create an emoji of a ‘cat singing.’ Type the prompt and the AI will create a similar emoji.
In addition to this , you can also create custom emojis of people you know. Suppose you have a pic of them in your library, you can convert them into fun emoji with Genmoji.
