- First you need to connect your iPhones to a table and reliable WiFi.
- Next you need to keep your device fully charged. Usually, iPhone models could be high charge consuming and updates can also drain charge quickly. So be prepared accordingly.
- In case you are traveling and you don’t have an adapter with you, you should keep your device on at least 70% charged. This will help to implement the update smoothly.
- You also need to keep your iPhone free of storage, leaving enough space for downloading the update. Notably you should keep at least 10 GB free for downloading and installing the update.
- Now you need to get to the settings. Then tap on ‘general’ and ‘software update’.
- Click on ‘automatic updates’. After that turn on the ‘download’ iOS updates option
- After it gets downloaded, click on ‘Install’ iOS 18 updates
Please note that sometimes during the update process you might lose some data. So, to be safe you should keep a backup of your data. You can either transfer the data on a different device or keep the backup on iCloud.
