With Apple’s iPhone 16 event just around the corner, speculations suggest that Apple can come up with two brand new AirPods.
As reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple can release two new models of AirPods 4.The Apple iPhone 16 event is pegged for September, expected to take place in the first or second week.
Apple to introduce new AirPods
In the latest version of the newsletter named ‘Power On’, Mark Gurman said that Apple plans to bring new AirPods that might replace mid-tier AirPods 3 and entry-level AirPods 2. He further added that the company can introduce updates for its hardware range. Apple will be offering the two different models at different price ranges. This strategy can help the company to meet the needs of a wider range of users.
In addition to this the new mid-tier model can get noise cancellation feature, which was earlier scheduled for the premium AirPods Pro. You can eventually get AirPods with noise canceling features at an affordable price. Other leaks suggest that the AirPods can get new USB-C charging cases. These charging cases are aimed at providing charging capabilities at a faster range.
Furthermore, the mid-tier models might get wireless charging options. However, the entry-level models will not get these features. The branding for these upcoming models is yet to be announced officially. Speculations suggest that the names could be ‘AirPods 4’ or ‘AirPods Lite’. The addition of new AirPods might be a part of Apple’s aim to introduce new products to its hardware range. This can include iPads, iPhones and Macs, among others.

In other news, Apple might launch new models of the iPhone 16 during the event. This can include iPhone 16 Pro iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 plus. Given below are the specs of these models:
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 plus: Speculations suggest that the A18 pro chip will be added in both the Phone 16 and iPhone 16 plus (similar to Apple’s iPhone pro models). You can also expect to get these models in new colour options.
iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro : The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro max might get a larger display. You can expect to get a 6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 pro model and a 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max model. You can also expect to get a camera upgrade with a 5X camera zoom and an improved ultrawide camera.
