With a new one opening in Bengaluru, Apple is now eyeing Pune for its fourth retail outlet in India.
Based on reports, Apple is now completing work on its first store in Pune. The new flagship outlet will be located at the KOPA Mall in Koregaon Park and is scheduled to open its doors this September, just around the expected launch timeline of the rumoured iPhone 17 series. The opening of the store will mark a significant milestone for the tech giant, as it will not only be the fourth Apple retail location in the country, but also cement Apple’s commitment to the country following news of its iPhone manufacturing expansion in India.
New Apple Store in Pune
The new store is expected to be a substantial 10,000 sq ft flagship outlet, designed to offer customers a full Apple experience. The store will include hands-on access to the latest products and dedicated support from Apple’s team of experts. The inauguration ceremony is anticipated to be a high-profile event, with senior executives from Apple’s US headquarters expected to be in attendance.
The timing of the Pune store opening is noteworthy as it coincides with the period of the company’s annual global launch event, which is rumoured to be scheduled for September 9. Apple is rumoured to bring the iPhone 17 series along with the Watch Series 11 and possibly an updated version of the AirPods.
The first Apple Store opened in Mumbai in April 2023, marking Apple’s commitment to the country. Prior to these Apple Stores, Apple has been selling its products via authorized resellers and online e-commerce platforms. Unlike other sources, though, the Apple Store provides customers a chance to experience the Apple products in the best of ways, including all iPhones, AirPods, Apple Watch models, Macs, and other accessories.
Apple begins iPhone 17 manufacturing in India
In other news, Apple has already begun iPhone 17 manufacturing in India. Considering the geopolitical situation, Apple is also initiating assembly of the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro Max in India to be exported to the US market.
