A new rumor emerging from China suggests that the standard iPhone 17 model will come with a slightly larger screen compared to its predecessor. A recent post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, shared by the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, indicates that the base iPhone 17 will sport a 6.3-inch display — an upgrade from the 6.1-inch screen featured on the iPhone 16 base variant. Apple generally unveils its new iPhone lineup in the second week of September, often opting for an event early in the week—typically on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Meanwhile, the premium iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max variants are rumored to cost Rs 1,39,900 and Rs 1,64,900, respectively.
However, these estimates stem from early reports and have not been confirmed by Apple, meaning the final pricing could see an upward revision as the launch date nears. In the U.S., the iPhone 17 is anticipated to start at around $899, and in the UAE, it’s expected to retail for approximately AED 3,799, according to preliminary projections.
