Apple will launch new iPad(s) on May 7, 2024. Cupertino has just announced a special event called “let loose” and though it does not say what’s coming, the media invite is fairly self explanatory. (The big spoiler alter is the Apple Pencil.)
Bloomberg reported in March that Apple’s overseas suppliers had ramped up production of the company’s latest iPad models, with formal launch pegged for early May. They were initially planned to launch in late March- early April but some software delays apparently pushed the launch forward.
As for what’s expected, new iPad Pro models will obviously be the biggest draw. Boasting of Apple’s brand-new M3 chip, swanky new OLED panel, and redesigned versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, the pro will be Apple’s most powerful tablet to date. Speculation is rife that this would be the first major revamp to the iPad Pro lineup since 2021. Joining the pro will be the 2024 version of the iPad Air, this time in two different screen sizes including a bigger 12.9-inch option.
The iPad announcement is happening about a month before Apple’s WWDC 2024 which will take place from June 10 through June 14, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates. (In India, Apple’s let loose special event will be available to watch online on May 7 starting 7:30 PM).
