What is the NYT “Connection”?
The NYT Connection is a word puzzle game where they give you 16 words in a 4×4 grid. Words are divided into four sets; each set has a thread in common or a similarity that connects them. You have to identify the four words that belong to the same set/theme. For example, if there are 16 words and among them, you see lion, tiger, cheetah, and fox, then you have an idea that each of these words has something in common.
After you choose the four words, you will have to submit them by clicking the “submit” option. If it’s correct, then all the selected words will be out of the display, and then you will be left with the remaining 12 words. Similarly, you have to identify all four sets of words.
The groups/sets of words also have difficulty levels, which are denoted by a particular color. Yellow is the easiest, then comes green, blue, and lastly, the trickiest, purple. To identify all the correct four sets, you will be given 4 chances, and after that, the game will be over.
