Legendary tabla player Ustad Zakir Hussain passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday in San Francisco. He was admitted to a hospital hours earlier after experiencing heart-related issues. Hussain’s eldest sister, Bilquis, passed away before his birth. Another sister, Razia, tragically died in 2000 due to complications from cataract surgery, just hours before their father’s death. He is survived by his sister Khurshid.
