Billionaire and former president and CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, are preparing for a grand wedding celebration in Venice, Italy, that’s expected to span nearly a week. According to sources close to the event, the three-day nuptials will officially take place from June 24 to 26, but festivities will continue through June 29.
The couple’s main wedding ceremony will reportedly be held aboard Bezos’ superyacht Koru, a 417-foot vessel valued at around $500 million. The yacht, which boasts state-of-the-art amenities and design, will serve as the centerpiece of what’s shaping up to be one of the most extravagant weddings of the year.
All you need to know about Aman Venice, the hotel where Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are reportedly staying
Sources revealed to TMZ that the exclusive guest list will be spread across multiple venues in Venice, including the historic Aman Venice — a 16th-century palazzo-turned-hotel located on the Grand Canal, where Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are reportedly staying. The luxurious property, known for its celebrity clientele and ultra-private accommodations, has been entirely reserved from June 25 through June 29 for the couple and their guests.
“The Aman Venice has been blocked out completely,” sources confirmed to TMZ. “Jeff and Lauren will be staying there, and so will many of their guests.”
Interior and decor
In all its grandeur, the Aman Venice houses just 24 rooms, many featuring original architectural details like hand-painted frescoes, gilded stucco work, and sweeping views of the Grand Canal. The interiors follow Aman’s signature minimalist aesthetic — with calming neutral tones, Japanese-inspired design, and floral accents like orchids and seasonal arrangements.
Bathrooms are spa-like, equipped with soaking tubs, dual vanities, and lounge-style seating in some suites. Discretion is a hallmark of the property, which attracts high-profile guests seeking privacy — it’s not unusual for visitors to go unnoticed, even when the hotel is at full occupancy.
Described informally as a ‘7-star’ hotel, though officially rated as 5-star, the Aman Venice is one of Italy’s premier wedding destinations. Past celebrity couples, including George and Amal Clooney in 2014 and athletes Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ana Ivanović in 2016, have also chosen the venue for their nuptials. Per day rates of Aman Venice start at $2,800 and can go up to over $10,000 for the top-tier suites.
In preparation for the celebrations, wedding organisers have gone to great lengths to ensure a seamless experience. The entire island of San Giorgio Maggiore, located opposite Venice’s famous St. Mark’s Square, has reportedly been secured for private use during the festivities, making it off-limits to the public for nearly a week.
Logistics are also tightly managed. Organisers have locked down 30 of Venice’s 280 available water taxis to transport guests between venues. Several top hotels have been reserved to accommodate additional attendees.
Bezos, whose net worth is estimated at approximately $224.6 billion, is no stranger to luxury, but this upcoming celebration may set a new bar for elite destination weddings.
