Reviving ‘Mahura’, a 100% flower-based spirit cherished by the erstwhile royal families, South Seas Distilleries has reintroduced this ancient drink through its latest creation, Six Brothers. Aged for decades in rare oak casks, Six Brothers bridges the gap between a traditional white spirit and fine whisky. While the Six Brothers 1922 Resurrection variant is priced at Rs 102,000 and available only on allocation (just 102 exclusive bottles up for grabs globally), the Six Brothers Small Batch (Original) is priced at Rs 2,492.

Godawan x Taj

From the makers of the award-winning limited-edition Godawan 100 comes another artisanal single malt— ‘exclusive to the Palaces of Taj’. This small-batch release comes in just 300 bottles. Notes of vanilla, cream and fresh wood with a hint of cinnamon offer a complex aromatic bouquet, exuding layers of character. Priced at Rs 11,000, the single malt artisanal whisky is currently available at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, and Taj Jai Mahal Palace, Jaipur. It will soon be available in Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad.

Paul John Christmas Edition

This is the 7th annual edition of John Distilleries’ limited Christmas Edition series and is expected to touch the shelves in India soon. With tints of deep gold, the new edition features exotic aromas of mango and pineapple, vanilla cake with caramel custard and an unexpected hint of sandalwood. It terms of palate, it has flavours of spice, coconut and candied orange with a dash of toasted oak. Paul John Christmas Edition 2024 will be launched in Karnataka, Haryana, Goa and Maharashtra. Priced Rs 7,000-12,000.

McDowell’s Distiller’s Batch

This limited-edition single malt of only 6,000 bottles celebrates McDowell’s 125-year heritage. It has been crafted through a signature triple-cask distillation process, where the liquid journeys through two separate maturation cycles. The single malt has been matured first in ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks and then once again matured in cabernet sauvignon and shiraz casks unique to the terroir. Pricing available on request, sold only in Haryana.

Anejo and Extra Anejo by Pistola

Pistola has launched two premium aged variants—the Anejo and Extra Anejo —in the Agavepura (or, pure 100% aged agave) category. While Anejo is aged for over 14 months in virgin American white oak casks, imparting notes of caramel and the fragrance of vanilla to the peppery, herbaceous agave spirit, the Extra Anejo is rested for over three years in a combination of virgin American white oak and ex-maker’s mark barrels. While Anejo is priced at Rs 4,499 (Goa) and Rs 7,850 (Maharashtra), Extra Anejo is available for Rs 9,999 (Goa) & Rs 17,500 (Maharashtra).

Rampur Double Cask

Radico Khaitan has introduced an exclusive value-added pack for its Rampur Double Cask Indian Single Malt Whisky. Each 750 ml bottle now comes with a pair of imported glasses etched with the Rampur logo. The product will be available for Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,500, depending upon the state. The company has launched a similar offer for its Royal Ranthambore Heritage Collection Royal Crafted Whisky and a festive edition gift pack for its Morpheus XO Premium Brandy.

Six Fields by DeVANS

DeVANS Modern Breweries has expanded its Six Fields beer portfolio with two new variants—Brute and Pilsner—to foray into the premium lager segments. While Pilsner is a light, refreshing lager with a crisp, golden colour, with up to 5% ABV, Brute is a full-bodied, strong lager with a bold flavour, with up to 8% ABV. It’s intended for consumers who want a robust beer experience. While Pilsner is priced at Rs 140 (500ml can), Rs 175 (650ml bottle) and Rs 90 (330ml pint), Brute is available for Rs 140 and Rs 90 per 500ml can and 650ml bottle, respectively.

The Legacy Project by Seagram’s 100 Pipers

Seagram’s 100 Pipers has launched the latest chapter of The Legacy Project, an initiative dedicated to rediscovering forgotten Indian art forms. As part of the multi-year initiative, the Scotch whisky brand has unveiled six limited-edition packs, each using calligraphy to bring alive the timeless beauty of Indian regional scripts through this art form that has been an integral part of our country’s culture. While one of the packs brings to life Rabindranath Tagore’s poem about the pitfalls of materialism using Bengali calligraphy, another one narrates Bharatendu Harishchandra’s poem about taking pride in one’s mother tongue using Devanagri. Other packs bring out such stories through calligraphy using Gurmukhi, Kannada and Telugu.

Amrut Bella

Amrut Distilleries has announced the launch of Bella, a jaggery-distilled and matured single rum. The rum is 100% crafted from nutrient and mineral-rich jaggery and sourced from the Sahyadri range in the Western Ghats and Mandya in Karnataka. Bella has been matured for six years in ex-bourbon barrels under tropical climatic conditions. Priced at Rs 3,500, it has been initially launched in the US and Karnataka, before expanding to West Bengal, Haryana and Maharashtra.

D’Yavol Vortex

Vortex is a premium blended Scotch whisky from D’yavol, a global luxury collective. This award-winning whisky is an intense swirl of a dram, boldly crafted by marrying carefully selected single malt and single grain whiskies from the Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and Islay regions of Scotland.
