One of the most desirable locations for millionaires, Dubai has attracted several investments from high-net-worth individuals. Being at the epitome of technological development, the UAE’s Dubai is one of the most sought-after locations for millionaire migrations.
Adding more to the glamour, Dubai is set to reveal the world’s largest palm-shaped island called ‘Palm Jebel Ali’. And if you thought Palm Jumeirah was big, the upcoming island is twice as big as the eighth wonder of the world. Expanding to accommodate more than 100,000 residents, Dubai’s Brabus Island Abu Dhabi has also introduced the world’s first branded island.
Dubai’s ‘Palm Jebel Ali’
Under development, this ambitious artificial archipelago is being developed by Nakheel. Covering 13.4 sq km and adding nearly 100 km of new waterfront, Palm Jebel Ali will be a part of Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan.
Set to fall along Dubai’s longest coastline, the island will have 16-17 fronds and 7 islands. Designed to house 30,000 to 50,000 families, Jebel Ali can accommodate over 240,000–250,000 residents. Not just housing, it will also have more than 80 ultra-luxury hotels and resorts, marinas, theme parks (including “Sea Village”), retail and dining hubs, and beachfront villas, apartments, and garden villas.
Made with sustainable design in focus, the development will be eco-friendly and focused on water conservation, powered by renewable energy and smart city technology. The shape, interestingly, is not just inspired from a palm. Reports suggest that it honours Islamic traditions and also celebrates Gulf heritage.
What is the branded island?
The Brabus Island Abu Dhabi will feature 92 high-end villas and will be built around the brand’s design language. With private beaches and penthouses, this first-of-its-kind branded island is located in the Al Seef District, setting a new level of luxury living.
Developed by Cosmo Developers, this project combines German precision and Italian engineering. With the construction beginning in Summer 2025, the project is expected to be wrapped up by 2029. The aesthetic lays huge emphasis on on luxury, precision, and a “one-second-wow” impact conveying boldness and exclusivity.
