Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man and Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), may have a demanding schedule, but the entrepreneur doesn’t miss out on seeking the almighty’s blessings. He, along with family, is often seen offering prayers at religious places and organise elaborate celebrations of festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi.
Ambani’s visit to Badrinath draws huge crowd
On Friday, Ambani was seen folding his hands and praying before entering the Badrinath temple, located in Badrinath town, Chamoli district, Uttarakhand. As the crowd gathered, India’s top entrepreneur accepted the request of some visitors to click selfies with him. He was seen greeting them briefly. Wearing the traditional outfit of kurta-pyjama, completing his look with a Nehru jacket, his forehead was also marked by a Chandan tilak.

Mukesh Ambani retained the tag of the richest Indian in the Forbes Rich India 2025 list, even though his net worth, dropped 12% and slightly declined to $105 billion.
Ambani believes in marking every auspicious occasion with prayers and gratitude to the divine. On the occasion of first marriage anniversary of his son Anant Ambani and daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant, the ace entrepreneur visited BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, London, in July this year. The family members were seen engaged in prayers and ceremonial rituals. Before that, Mukesh Ambani also visited the Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka with his son Akash Ambani, and family.
Why Ambanis go viral during festivals
The Ambanis also celebrate festivals with a lot of enthusiasm and grandeur.
Most recently, Navratri celebrations at his house Antilla went viral. The video showing Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Shloka Mehta Ambani, Radhika Merchant, among others were seen performing at dandiya night. The clips of the family performing puja also circulated.
In August, videos of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant bringing Lord Ganesha home also went viral. The family organises Ganesh Chaurthi celebrations every years which becomes a major highlight around this time.
Badarinath also known as Badri Vishal, is a Hindu Vishnu temple. The temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu for Vaishnavas, who is worshipped as Badrinath.
