Mukesh Ambani is Asia’s richest man in 2023 and he relinquished his salary for the years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, as well. That’s not all, earlier, he had capped his salary down to Rs 15 crores per annum, in an attempt to set a personal example of moderation for managerial positions.

Mukesh Ambani’s wife, Nita Ambani decided to step down from the board, however, she continued to operate as the chairperson of Reliance Foundation. Nita Ambani was being paid around Rs 6 lakh as sitting fees for serving as a non-executive director on the board of Reliance Industries in 2021-2022. In 2022-2023, she took a Rs 2 crore commission for 2022-23, The Times of India reported.
