James Bond Day 2025: October 5 marks the global James Bond Day. Celebrating the legendary fictional secret agent and all thing 007, it marks the debut of the very first Bond film, Dr No. Bringing the MI6 agent to life, Sean Connery set his image as James Bond in history, looking dashing in a tuxedo and taking down villains. However, fans are still in search of the new James Bond after Daniel Craig starred in ‘No Time to Die.’
Earlier this year, the new James Bond game made history by casting a new face, before it was revealed in the film. OO7 First Light got Patrick Gibson to report for duty in the latest video game. Returning to the space after more than a decade, the last James Bond game was released in 2012, called ‘007 Legends’. But how exactly can one celebrate James Bond Day without a new ‘Bond’? Here are all the cool 007 gadgets that have actually set a world record.
Aston Martin DB5
Synonymous with secret agent feels, the Aston Martin is one of James Bond’s most iconic pal on screen. With secret buttons, mind-blowing gadgets, futuristic voice commands, and more, the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 was auctioned for nearly $6.4 million in 2019 in California. Setting a Guinness World Record, it was fully equipped with the “Q branch” gadgets, including machine guns in the bumpers and a retractable bulletproof rear screen.

Sold for nearly $256,000, Sean Connery used this exact pistol as James Bond in the ‘Russia with Love’ poster shoot. This Walther PPK from the poster didn’t really make it to the final cut of the film, but was sold at a Hollywood auction in December 2020.
