The film collected Rs 1 crore on its first Friday but showed strong growth over the opening weekend, collecting Rs 2 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.75 crore on Sunday. However, collections dipped to Rs 1.15 crore on Monday, before picking up slightly with Rs 1.6 crore each on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday saw another drop to Rs 0.9 crore, taking the first-week total to Rs 11 crore.
In its second weekend, the film is maintaining a steady momentum, earning Rs 0.9 crore on Friday, Rs 1.75 crore on Saturday, and around Rs 2.09 crore on Sunday. As per early estimates, The Taj Story added Rs 0.26 crore on its second Monday, bringing its total box office collection to approximately Rs 16 crore in India.
