Battle of Galwan Teaser Twitter reviews: Salman Khan’s latest war film ‘Battle of Galwan’ rolled out its teaser yesterday. Revealing the official date of release, it was a much-awaited surprise for Bhaijaan fans on his 60th birthday. As per the teaser, ‘Battle of Galwan’ is set to release on April 17, which was previously clashing with Alia Bhatt’s Alpha. However, due to undisclosed reasons, the YRF spy-thriller was postponed.
Salman Khan in ‘Battle of Galwan’ immortalised the role of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, who valiantly gave up his life during the India-China clash in 1962. While fans are praising yet another patriotic film, after the historic success of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, some users on social media called out Salman Khan‘s ‘expressionless’ acting. In fact, several fans drew parallels from a scene from ‘Battle of Galwan’s’ teaser to Game of Thrones’ Winterfell.
Battle of Galwan Twitter reactions: ‘Desi remake – same chaos, new terrain’
The Internet could not help but call Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Battle of Galwan a ‘desi remake.’ The seemingly uncanny resemblance between Winterfell and the battlefield scene prompted the internet to write, “same chaos, new terrain, same Salman Khan swag.”
“Didn’t expect the Battle of Galwan to feel this heavy. Some moments genuinely give goosebumps. Salman Khan keeps it raw and serious,” wrote a user on X. However, another user found the teaser to be ‘painfully cringe’ as others questioned his appearance as a soldier of the Indian Army. “Salman is totally unfit to play a soldier,” opined a netizen. Comparing one war film to another, Khan’s upcoming film is being held to the standard of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar.
Several netizens also noticed the clear skin, hair set to perfection, and crisp attire in the middle of a battlefield, and questioned the authenticity of the events depicted in the film. Bollywood fans are also awaiting Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘King’ and gauging which film will do better.
This Apoorva Lakhia film will star Chitrangada Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia, Vipin Bharadwaj, Zeyn Shawn, and Heera Sohal.
