Telugu actress Kalpika Ganesh has once again found herself at the center of a social media controversy after a video showing her alleged unruly behavior at a Hyderabad nightclub resurfaced online. The incident reportedly occurred on May 29, 2025, at Prism Pub in Gachibowli, where Kalpika was celebrating her birthday.
According to staff at the venue, the dispute began when the actress attempted to bring an outside cake into the pub, which was against their policy. When refused, she allegedly became confrontational, leading to a full-blown altercation that resulted in a police complaint filed by the management.
The pub’s staff claim that Kalpika not only refused to settle her bill but also verbally abused employees, threw crockery, damaged property, and used derogatory language. “She continued to create a disturbance even in the presence of the police,” the complaint noted.
In response, the management approached the local authorities, and based on court approval, the Gachibowli Police registered a formal case against Kalpika Ganesh on June 10. She has been booked under Sections 352 (assault or use of criminal force) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with other relevant provisions. Officials confirmed that an investigation is ongoing and further action will be taken based on evidence gathered.
Amid the renewed attention, Kalpika has denied the allegations and asserted that she was, in fact, mistreated by the pub staff. Taking to Instagram, the actress posted a video from the night of the incident, where she is seen arguing with the pub’s management.
The disagreement, according to Kalpika, began over her attempt to bring a birthday cake into the venue. In the video, the pub manager can be heard explaining that the establishment does not offer complimentary cakes and discourages outside food. Kalpika responded by comparing Prism to other clubs where, she claimed, such practices were allowed.
Tensions quickly escalated, and in the video, the manager accuses her of intentionally disrupting the environment. At one point, Kalpika is seen crumpling the bill and throwing it aside in protest. She has also alleged that she was harassed and has reportedly filed a counter-complaint against the club’s staff.

Alongside the video, she wrote a caption, stating, “One of the most worst management even on Google—all reviews suck coz of their inhumanity… police people from Gachibowli station. Mr K. Narsimulu and Mr Yezas Baba. Have daughters and a wife and are serving the public for nuisance. They were even more worst than the people.”
Kalpika Ganesh made her debut in the Telugu film industry with the 2009 release Prayanam and has since appeared in films such as Sarocharu, My Dear Marthandam, Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma, HIT: The First Case, and Parole. She was most recently seen in the 2022 film Yashoda, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
