Renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai is overjoyed as his television show ‘Jaanaki’ reached a significant milestone by completing 200 episodes today. Expressing his delight and gratitude, Ghai congratulated the entire team on this remarkable achievement.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Subhash Ghai shared a video of the team expressing their thanks and wrote, “My personal congratulations to the entire team of JAANAKI, a popular TV SHOW produced by MUKTA ARTS for DD NATIONAL, CELEBRATING ITS 200th episodes today at 8.30 pm on DD National. Feel blessed that viewers loved JAANAKI.”
‘Jaanaki,’ a daily drama, stands as a steadfast celebration of the unyielding spirit of modern women. The show ignites a movement to challenge societal conventions and empower women to make their own decisions and fight against misogyny. It mirrors the experiences of countless Indian women, highlighting their struggles, triumphs, and battles.
Subhash Ghai, known as the ‘Showman’ of Indian cinema, had previously shared his excitement about his first television show on ‘Doordarshan National.’ He remarked, “Doordarshan has opened the doors for filmmakers to showcase their stories on television series with full creative command. That’s why I designed my show ‘JAANAKI’ for Doordarshan, with a story of the journey of a daughter from her birth to adulthood, facing everyday challenges in a world dominated by men and families wishing for sons over daughters, treating their daughters as ‘Paraaya dhan.'”
“It’s a powerful story of a daughter who faced her struggles on her own and emerged as a valuable asset to society,” added Subhash, who wrote the story, lyrics, and music for the show.
