Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio was dealt major embarrassment outside an exclusive tequila party earlier this month. New footage of the incident, caught in Ibiza, shows the world-famous A-lister being stopped and searched by Spanish police officers in the street. The Killers of the Moon actor’s 27-year-old girlfriend model Vittoria Ceretti is also believed to have been present beside him, alongside a group of his friends, including fellow top actor and Spider-Man icon Tobey Maguire.

According to a video obtained by the Daily Mail, a woman, presumably the 50-year-old actor’s girlfriend is hear saying, “they are searching me full right now.” Meanwhile DiCaprio is snapped without a mask on his face. He is seen holding out his belongings, as he awaits his turn to be searched by Spanish Civil Guard.

The exclusive party, attended by a slew of Hollywood stars, was reportedly held at a private villa, with tequila company Patron and Spanish celebrity Aron Piper playing hosts. In addition to DiCaprio’s presence, rapper Travis Scott, his best pal Maguire and model Kendal Jenner are believed to have been some popular guests. Scott, unfortunately, is said to have been turned away from the soiree, while Leonardo ultimately made it inside alongside others.

Social media is also rife with the account pushed by the UK tabloid, with many drawing parallels of DiCaprio’s little incident with police to Justin Timberlake‘s DUI arrest last year. Although it remains unclear what led the cops to search the A-listers outside the said party, eyewitnesses told the outlet that the authorities at the scene failed to recognise him. The actor not only had to introduce himself to them, but was also asked to show some identification proving the same.

The New York Post’s financial correspondent Lydia Moynihan brazenly tweeted “This is going to ruin the tour,” alluding to Justin Timberlake’s purported infamous reaction to be getting arrested for driving while intoxicated in June 2024. Much like Leonardo’s fate at the Ibiza tequila party, the once-dubbed ‘King of Pop’ was also pulled over by an officer who had no idea who the multi-Grammy-winning artist was.

Meanwhile, someone else considered the possibility that the cops actually knew who DiCaprio was when they stopped him at the exclusive party earlier this month, but played it otherwise. “Thirty two years as a cop,” they possibly said of themself, adding, “They 100% knew who he was.”

A source has since further spilled to the Daily Mail that DiCaprio ultimately turned out to be just like the regular, getting “doubted at the door.” They also noted how the police “did a double take when Leo checked in.” As per their account of the incident, the 50-year-old “was kind and joking” with the cops. Furthermore, he wasn’t the only one to be inspected like that at the time, as every other attendee, regardless of their popular status, were searched in the same manner.
