Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were blessed with their first child Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi early Tuesday morning. Saif released a statement thanking all the couple’s fans and well-wishers for their support. Now, proud aunt Soha Ali has spoken about her new nephew. Soha told PTI, “The family is delighted. Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi is a beautiful baby boy and both mother and son are doing very well!” We’re sure the entire Padaudi-Kapoor gang is excited about the new arrival.

Taimur’s other famous aunt Karisma also shared her happiness on Instagram. She uploaded a photo that read, “It’s a baby boy. That makes me a proud maasi.” And while we’re delighted to see how happy she is about her nephew’s birth, couldn’t you have sneaked an actual photo of Taimur, Kareena? Just to let the world get a glimpse. Perhaps not.

Soha and Karisma aren’t the only one who wished the couple well. Kareena Kapoor’s close friend Karan Johar tweeted soon after Taimur’s birth, “My Bebo had a baby boy!!!!!!! Am so so happy!!!!!!! #TaimurAliKhan.” KJo has good reason to be excited as he jokingly rubbed Bebo’s bump for good luck over the weekend during the Lux Golden Rose awards. Other members of the film fraternity who wished the new parents well included Sonam Kapoor, Amrita Arora and Bebo’s sister-in-law Malaika Arora Khan.
While the 36-year-old has become a mother for the first time, fatherhood is nothing new to Saif. The actor has two children, Sara, 23, and Ibrahim, 15, from his previous marriage to Amrita Singh. Sara is rumoured to make her Bollywood debut next year alongside Hrithik Roshan, while the trailer for Saif’s latest film Rangoon is set to release within the month. Kareena won’t be taking a break from film’s either as the actress has said she will get back to work within a month of giving birth.
