In turn of the recent events unfolding at the Pataudi household, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey took to the media to express his contempt against the incident and blamed Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis for this mishappening. “Getting to know how Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by robbers is indeed devastating,” Dubey can be seen saying on a video posted by ANI on X (formerly Twitter). “If celebrities and VIPs are not safe in this country, what will even happen to the common people? Be it firing outside Salman Khan’s house or Baba Siddique being murdered in broad daylight, and now this attempt on Saif Ali Khan, CM Devendra Fadnavis ji needs to take action,” Dubey added.
“No one is safe. Let alone ordinary people, even celebrities who have their own security are not safe,” said Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut. “The law and order situation in Maharashtra has collapsed. This is the failure of the government. If the chief minister is very busy then the home ministry should be assigned an independent and competent minister,” Atul Londhe, chief spokesperson, Congress, told ANI. “It’s sad. He is my friend and fellow artist… Mumbai Police is investigating and the thief will be caught. I pray for his recovery,” Ravi Kishan, BJP MP and actor, told PTI. CM Devendra Fadnavis has not yet responded to any of the comments. From what is understood, the investigation is underway and no one has been arrested as of yet.
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured in a knife attack during an alleged burglary attempt at his Mumbai residence in the early hours of 16 January 2025. The incident occurred around 2:30 am at his 12th-floor apartment in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra, when an intruder broke in and attacked Saif before fleeing the scene. Reportedly, Saif sustained six injuries, including two minor, two intermediate, and two deep wounds, one of which was near his spine. He underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital, with a neurosurgeon involved in the procedure. His team confirmed that he is out of danger and currently recovering, while the police are investigating the incident. Saif’s family members are safe, and his wife, Kareena Kapoor’s team, reassured the public that the children are unharmed.
