The box office run of Saiyaara shows no signs of slowing down, as the film has now amassed an impressive Rs 247.25 crore within just 10 days of its release. According to early estimates reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 30 crore on its 10th day alone. This further solidifies the movie’s position as one of the biggest commercial successes of the year.
Saiyaara box office collections
Starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara opened to a lot of anticipation around it. During its 10 days of run at the box office, it has managed to sustain its performance throughout. From day one, Mohit Suri’s romantic drama has been a huge hit among crowds across the country.
The film recorded an average occupancy of 46.51% on Day 10, with evening screenings witnessing the highest turnout at 63.46%, followed by the afternoon slots at 56.38%. Night shows accounted for 42.99%, while morning shows remained modest at 23.21%. City-wise performance showed Chennai leading the charts with a striking 79.50% occupancy rate, followed by Bengaluru at 71.75%, Jaipur at 58.75%, the Delhi NCR region at 48.75%, and Lucknow close behind at 47.50%.
It is also important to note that Saiyaara overtook the lifetime collection of Sitaare Zameen Par within its first week. With strong footfall and rising ticket sales, industry experts believe the movie may soon cross the Rs 300 crore mark if the current trend continues.
Saiyaara’s OTT release
Because of the overwhelming response the film has been receiving at the box office, the producers have decided to extend the film’s theatrical run to 90 days. A report by ETimes reveals that the makers are currently in discussion with Netflix for its digital release, potentially around Diwali 2025. This strategic move aims to maximise both theatrical revenue and the OTT viewership around the festive time.
