Saiyaara actor Aneet Padda, who made a record-breaking debut, is all set to appear next in an OTT project. While the news initially raised eyebrows, various media reports have now clarified that her upcoming web series, Nyaya, was filmed well before her entry into mainstream cinema with Yash Raj Films.

The news of Aneet’s OTT appearance initially confused fans, especially given her phenomenal debut on the big screen. Saiyaara, which stars Ahaan Panday opposite her, has already amassed Rs 246 crore in just 10 days of its release and is expected to cross the Rs 300 crore mark by the end of the week.
However, sources close to the production have clarified to HT Digital, saying, “Aneet is a big screen heroine for YRF. Nyaya was shot before she signed Saiyaara and it has no bearing on her career trajectory as a theatrical heroine going forward.”
The source added, “A girl who is delivering probably a Rs 400 crore hit in theatres, is a true Gen Z star at the age of just 22, will be preserved for theatricals. There are huge plans to make her the face of a generation and that can be achieved only by consolidating her theatrical equity.”

Directed by Nitya Mehra (Baar Baar Dekho) and produced by her husband Karan Kapadia, Nyaya is a fictional story inspired by true events. On the show, Aneet will be seen sharing screen space with Fatima Sana Shaikh and Arjun Mathur. According to a report by PeepingMoon.com, the series wrapped production last year and is now gearing up for release on a major streaming platform.
The series, described as an intense courtroom drama, explores faith, power, and justice. Fatima will portray a fearless police officer, while Aneet will play a 17-year-old girl fighting for justice after being sexually assaulted by a powerful religious figure. “It promises to be a gripping story about the complexities of faith and the law,” the report states.
