This too was in line with Zubeen Garg’s dream of taking Assamese cinema to the mainstream. ‘Roi Roi Binale’ has not only been critically acclaimed, with a current rating of 9.2 on IMDb but also commercially. With such an enthusiastic response, it is sure to reign the Box Office for a while now.

Roi Roi Binale’s Day 5 Box Office collections

When it released on October 31, Roi Roi Binale opened with an impressive Rs 1.85 crores which is a rare feat to accomplish for regional cinema, especially movies that come out of Jollywood. Footfall was heavy across theatres in Assam with an average theatre occupancy of 96% and evening and night shows having an occupancy of 99%. Heavy footfall was also observed in Delhi – NCR as the Assamese diaspora showed up in hordes to support the film.

Industry experts are predicting that the movie will soon cross the Rs 10 crore milestone in net collections and become the 5th highest earning Assamese film in history. Currently, it sits behind the 2019 movie Ratnakar by Jatin Bora which earned Rs 10 crore during it’s run but is expected to surpass it soon. According to IMDb, ‘Roi Roi Binale’ was made on a budget of Rs 5 crores, so it is incredible to witness it make back almost double it’s budget within just 5 days of release. If it continues earning in the same pace for the remainder of its theatrical run, the movie may just become Assam’s highest earning feature ever.
