Ba***ds of Bollywood, a quirky and satirical take on an outsider navigating the glitzy yet tricky world of Bollywood, is set to start streaming on Netflix from September 18 onwards.
The Aryan Khan-directed series is already creating ripples even before its release, as audiences eagerly await the seven-episode series that marks the directorial debut of one of the biggest stars of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan. The trailer launch of the series was filled with many viral moments, one of which was Raghav Juyal talking on the phone while touching SRK’s feet on stage.
The actor finally opened up on the real story behind the ‘staged move’, while speaking to Bollywood Bubble.
Why Raghav Juyal ignored SRK
Known for his perfect comic timing and acting prowess, Raghav Juyal garnered eyeballs when he ignored SRK during Ba***ds of Bollywood trailer launch, but the actor-choreographer now reveals that he asked by his young director to put up an act.
“Mujhe aisa bola gaya tha ki stage pe aap enter kar rahe ho aur aap SRK ko ignore karoge, toh meri toh waha par…. how… Joh director ne bola – especially Aryan bolta hai yeh cheez, arey tu toh beta hai yaar, main toh industry mein toh abhi abhi aaya hu, aisa mat kar. Bahut aacha lagega. Toh woh mera bahut natural tha nahi aisa script mein toh maine kaha sir ek minute (while bending to touch the feet). Kyuki meri aadat hai sabki pair chuna. Toh maine act karte karte kiya. (I was told by Aryan to ignore SRK. So I told him that you are his son, but I am new in this industry, don’t do that. But he said it would look good. I tried to make it look natural, and told him to wait a minute as I spoke on phone while touching his feet).”
