In a significant development for fans of the Hera Pheri franchise, veteran actor Paresh Rawal has officially confirmed his return to Hera Pheri 3, putting an end to weeks of speculation and controversy surrounding his exit from the much-anticipated film. The veteran actor, who portrays the iconic character Babu Bhaiya, addressed the issue during a recent appearance on The Himanshu Mehta Show, stating that the disagreements have now been settled and production will continue as planned.

“There is no controversy,” Rawal said during the interview. “What happens is, when something is cherished by so many people, we have to be extra careful. It’s our responsibility towards the audience. The audience gives you so much love—you can’t take that for granted. You must deliver with dedication. So, my view is that everyone should unite and work hard. Nothing else. It is all resolved now.”

When asked whether the film was back on track, the actor responded, “It was going to happen anyway. But sometimes, you need to fine-tune things with one another because all involved are creative minds. Priyadarshan, Akshay, and Sunil—these are people I’ve known and worked with for many, many, many years.”

Rawal’s latest remarks have sparked excitement among fans on social media. A video clip from the interview has gone viral, with many expressing relief and joy at the actor’s return to the franchise.

The controversy began last month when Rawal’s abrupt departure from the project stunned both fans and the film’s team. Reports suggested that Akshay Kumar, who had acquired the rights to the Hera Pheri series, was caught off guard by the exit, which also led to budgetary disruptions in the film. In response, Kumar had sued Rawal for Rs 25 crore.

However, Rawal later clarified that his decision to step away was based on legitimate concerns. He had returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakh with interest, emphasising that there was no ill will involved.

Now, with all three original leads – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal reunited under the direction of Priyadarshan, Hera Pheri 3 is back on course, much to the delight of longtime followers of the comedy series.
