Actress Ankita Lokhande paid an emotional tribute to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on his fifth death anniversary by sharing a nostalgic moment from their time together on the sets of Pavitra Rishta, the television show that brought both actors into the spotlight.
Taking to Instagram, Ankita posted a throwback photo where Sushant and she are seen smiling during a candid moment from the show. Along with the photo, she had attached the soulful track Khairiyat from Sushant’s 2019 film Chhichhore. This was a subtle but deeply personal gesture to honour his memory on this day.
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 34. He was found dead at his Mumbai residence in Bandra, a loss that shocked everyone.
The late actor began his journey in showbiz with television, making his debut in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, but it was his role as Manav Deshmukh in Pavitra Rishta that made him a household name. It was also during this show that his relationship with Ankita Lokhande blossomed. The two were together for nearly six years before parting ways in 2016.
