Modern Family actress Audrey Anderson-Emmons proudly announced her sexuality this pride month, when she came out as bisexual through a humorous clip from the show. The ABC sitcom actress played the role of Lily Tucker- Pritchett following twins Emma and Jaden Hiller, who played Lily in the first two seasons. Now, the eighteen-year-old has followed in her on-screen fathers’ footsteps by candidly touching on her sexuality on Instagram. Audrey Anderson Emmons played Lily- the beloved, dry-witted Vietnamese girl and the adopted daughter of one of the couples- from season 3 till the show ended in 2020 with season 11.

Audrey Anderson-Emmons’ post coming out as bisexual
On June 16, Anderson-Emmons posted a video of herself lip-syncing to a scene from Modern Family, involving herself, Sofia Vergara’s character Gloria Pritchett and her on-screen father Mitchell Pritchett, played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

On being told that she is Vietnamese by Gloria, Lily exclaims, “No I’m not, I’m gay, I’m gay!”.

Mitchell Pritchett explains to his daughter, “Honey, no, you’re not gay. You are just confused!”.

For context, Anderson-Emmons’ character was adopted by a gay couple in the show, Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker (played by Eric Stonestreet).

The actress wrote on the video, “people keep joking so much abt me being gay when I literally am (I’m bi).”
She posted the video with the caption, “happy pride month to all and to all a goodnight hehehe #modernfamily#lily#pridemonth#bi”.
