Rising from the Internet’s corner on X (formerly Twitter), South superstar Mahesh Babu called out Baahubali director SS Rajamouli for his missing November release. The spirited exchange quickly went viral as they hinted at a pending announcement for their much-awaited project, ‘SSMB 29’.
It started as a singular post when Mahesh Babu posted on the first day of November. Tagging Rajamouli in the post, he wrote, ‘It’s November already.’ Getting a prompt reply from the director, he asked which movies he wanted to review this month in a sarcastic tone. This banter had fans excited, while others laughed at the random conversation between mega-stars, publicly on social media.
Rajamouli’s ‘Forever in making’ Mahabharatha
The comment invited a back-and-forth banter about the film, as fans got increasingly curious about any updates on SSMB 29. Replying almost suddenly, Mahesh Babu wrote, “Your ‘forever in making’ Mahabharata, Sir.” “First things first, you promised us something in November. Please keep up your word,” quipped the south super star.
Rajamouli then reassured him and replied, “It has just started, Mahesh. We’ll slowly reveal one by one.” Almost as if Mahesh Babu was teasing him in real life, he joked, “How slow, sir? Shall we start in 2030?” But things took an interesting turn from here when he brought up ‘desi girl’ Priyanka Chopra. With fans left wondering about why he called out Bollywood’s non-resident social media presence, it only turned out to be Rajamouli’s biggest secret ever!

Mahesh Babu, like a true Rajamouli fan, wrote, “Fyi, our Desi girl has been posting every street of Hyderabad on her Insta stories since January.” Hinting at a possible collaboration on a project, PeeCee quickly drafted a reply too. “Helloooo!! hero!!! You want me to leak all the stories you share with me on set? Mind lo fix aithe blind ga esestha,” commented Priyanka Chopra Jonas under the post. It roughly translates to “Once I’ve made up my mind, I’ll do it blindly (without hesitation).”
