Kapil Sharma, one of India’s most loved comedians, is stepping into a brand-new role, this time as a cafe owner! While he’s still winning hearts with his comedy show, Kapil has now entered the world of hospitality, opening a cafe in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, with his wife, Ginni Chatrath.

Their new venture, called The Kaps Cafe, had a soft launch over the weekend, and it already seems to be a big hit. The official Instagram page of the cafe shared a video showing a packed space with guests lining up to get in

“We’re so grateful for the amazing turnout! Thank you for your patience as we try to seat everyone. Our cafe is currently very busy with a big line-up. We appreciate your support during our soft launch,” the team wrote on Instagram stories.

What’s inside the Kaps Cafe?

The cafe has a charming and cosy vibe. Think pink and white interiors, crystal chandeliers, artificial flowers, and baby pink sofas; it’s a perfect mix of classy and cute.

And the food? It’s not just about coffee. The cafe offers speciality coffee along with a range of mouth-watering desserts, including lemon pistachio cake, fudgy brownies, and croissants.

Both Kapil and Ginni shared photos and videos from the opening on their Instagram Stories, thanking fans and friends for the love and good wishes. Fellow comedian Kiku Sharda, who works with Kapil on his Netflix show, also posted a congratulatory message that read, “Kya baat hai!”

The Kapil Sharma Show is still going strong

While his cafe in Canada is gaining attention, Kapil continues to entertain viewers in India with The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. The comedy show is now in its third season, with new episodes dropping every Saturday at 8 pm.

The latest episode featured cricketers Gautam Gambhir, Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Abhishek Sharma. Earlier episodes included Bollywood biggies like Salman Khan and the cast of Anurag Basu’s upcoming film Metro… In Dino, including Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and more.

This season also sees the return of Navjot Singh Sidhu, who’s joined Archana Puran Singh on the judge’s seat. Regular comedians like Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda are back too, bringing in their signature humour.

What’s next for Kapil?

Apart from the cafe and the show, Kapil is also heading back to the big screen. He’ll be seen in the sequel to his hit film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. The new movie is directed by Anukalp Goswami and stars Manjot Singh alongside Kapil.

He’s also working on another upcoming film titled Dadi Ki Shaadi, so clearly, Kapil’s calendar is full! From coffee and comedy to cinema, Kapil Sharma is showing that he’s got talent and energy for it all.
