Sunny Deol’s Jaat continues to win the audience’s hearts as it reaches its second Saturday after its release on April 10. The film has created a lot of buzz through its action sequence and Sunny Deol’s classic action hero role. Thus, even after the release of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2, Jaat has maintained a steady grip at the box office.

As per the Sacnilk report, Jaat earned Rs 3.75 crores on its second Saturday, day 10 of its release, a slight drop from Friday’s box office collection. Although Saturday’s collection has brought the film closer to its Rs 70 crore target.

The movie is getting immense love for its powerful storyline and action sequence. The fans   are applauding the blend of raw emotion, fierce pride and the vibrant energy.

Jaat is also just inches closer to entering the Rs 100 crore club, as it collected Rs 88 crore until Good Friday, Day 9. And after adding Saturday’s domestic earnings, the total has reached Rs 91.75 crores globally.  On Saturday, April 19, Jaat had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 15.77%.

While Jaat is doing well at the box office, it also got into a controversy in its second week, sparking debate among religious communities after Randeep Hooda’s character, Ranatunga. He expressed a fit of anger in the church  and was imitating a crucifix, which led to a protest in Jalandhar. The Jaat team responded by removing the scene from the movie and issuing a public apology after receiving an FIR from members of the Christian community earlier this week.

Although Jaat’s box office collection has shown some drop due to Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2. However, Jaat is still doing quite well in theaters, marking the significant love and admiration for Sunny Deol.

Kesari Chapter 2, released on April 18, is also performing significantly well at the box office. Kesari Chapter 2 saw a prominent growth of 25-35% in its collection on its second day.
