A Star Wars-loving Utah family has devised an elaborate solution to the challenge of finding a Halloween costume for their 5-year-old son with cerebral palsy.
Chantelle and Patrick Bailey built a detailed replica of the Millennium Falcon that fits around Sebastian Bailey’s walker. Sebastian will go trick-or-treating in it dressed as Han Solo along his older brother dressed as Luke Skywalker.
Chantelle Bailey says she and her husband stayed up late nearly every night for three weeks to build the spaceship. It’s made out of corrugated plastic with a wood foundation.
It has lights and Sebastian’s speech button is programmed with some of Han Solo’s iconic one-liners.
The Baileys of Sandy, Utah, previously built a Halloween costume for their son of the phone booth where Clark Kent becomes Superman.
