Dhurandhar worldwide box office collection day 6: Ranveer Singh’s return to the big screen has been nothing short of dramatic. Surrounded by hype, chatter and a fair bit of controversy, Dhurandhar quickly became the December release Bollywood had been holding out for. After the lull that followed Saiyaara, the film injected new life into the box office. It stormed in with a Rs 28 crore opening day, surpassing the year’s biggest rom-com, and cruised through the weekend with almost no real competition.
Although the film is now counted among Ranveer Singh’s six highest-grossing projects, it’s Akshaye Khanna who has unexpectedly become the scene-stealer. Viewers have been raving about his second standout performance of the year, following his much-talked-about turn as Aurangzeb in Chhaava. Director Farah Khan went as far as calling his act ‘Oscar-worthy’, while the background score accompanying his entry has gone viral, drawing comparisons to Animal’s Jamal Kudu sequence. With glowing reviews stacking up and a part-two announcement already out, excitement around the film has only intensified.
Dhurandhar collection day 6: Worldwide box office update
As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar opened at Rs 28 crore and bounced back strongly on Saturday with Rs 32 core. A robust Sunday jump of 34% pushed the figure to Rs 43 crore, lifting the weekend total to over Rs 75 crore. Monday held up remarkably well—despite a 45% drop, the film still collected Rs 23 crore, placing it among the strongest weekday performers since the pandemic. The worldwide total climbed to Rs 233 crore, with overseas numbers touching Rs 50 crore. Day five added another Rs 26 crore, followed by another Rs 23 crore on day 6. This strong run in the first week helped the film cross Rs 180 crore in India alone.
In terms of occupancy, Dhurandhar has held steady at around 37.58% across more than six thousand shows, with night screenings drawing the biggest crowds. Mumbai led the way with a 43% occupancy rate across 1,029 shows, while Delhi NCR hovered around 41%. Pune remained impressively strong, reporting more than 50% filled seats even midweek.
With Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles, the film draws together talent from across television, OTT and YouTube. Familiar faces like Jameel Jamali from Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and Saumya Tandon from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain lend added depth and nostalgia. The glowing audience response makes it clear: India’s love for high-octane spy thrillers isn’t going anywhere.
