Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet starrer has added another crore to its advance booking collections, as earnings soar to Rs 2.4 crore.

Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh are back to reprise their roles as Ashish and Ayesha in De De Pyaar De 2, the sequel to their 2019 hit. The first part of the age-gap romcom collected over Rs 100 crore as this unique take was showered with loads of love by the audience.

After a long wait, the second installment of the movie with the added star power of R Madhavan, is set to hit the theatres on Friday, November 14.

How much the film has collected before its release

The film’s advance booking opened on a decent note with over Rs 1 crore initial collections. As people continue to buy tickets for their Friday outing, the updated data posted on trade website Sacnilk shows the bookings reaching over Rs 2.4 crore with block seats and Rs 62.61 lakhs gross, witnessing a huge jump in collections compared to the first day of advance booking. So far, 17036 tickets have been sold and the numbers are growing.

There is a strong buzz around the film in Delhi-NCR as gross collections stand at Rs 16.17 lakh and Rs 54.22 lakh with block seats. In Mumbai, the gross sales amount to Rs 8.49 lakh, and Rs 32.6 lakh for blocked seats.

What De De Pyaar De 2 is about

De De Pyaar De 2 takes forward the love story of Ashish and Ayesha as the former tries to win over his girlfriend’s family. Being the same age as his parents, he faces the unique challenge of how to address or communicate with them. Meanwhile, Ayesha’s family brings in picture a rival suitor played by Meezaan Jafri.
