The first round of the box office ‘War’ is over and we have a clear winner already. Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2, both released on August 14 have concluded their opening week. Though both the movies are performing well at the box office, Thalaivar’s Coolie has been topping the charts despite witnessing a major dip since Monday. However, Hrithik and Jr NTR’s action drama is yet to enter the Rs 200 crore club in India. Both the films are action packed and fans are loving it, while War 2 is a sequel and belongs to the YRF Spy Universe, Coolie, named after Amitabh Bachchan’s legendary 1983 hit, is a standalone directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 7

Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna Akkineni’s Coolie has had a blockbuster opening week at the box office. The film made a grand opening by collecting Rs 65 crore on Day 1. Even though the numbers dipped from the second day, the action entertainer managed to stay strong and crossed the Rs 200 crore mark by Monday.

As per early estimates, Coolie earned Rs 6.5 crore on Day 7, taking its total collection to Rs 222.5 crore across all languages. On Wednesday, the film recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of nearly 21 per cent, with Puducherry topping the list at 27.25 per cent.

Despite the weekday slowdown, the film has shown remarkable consistency and is now among the biggest Tamil blockbusters of 2025. With Rajinikanth’s star power and Nagarjuna’s strong screen presence, Coolie is expected to continue its impressive run in the coming days and make it one of the biggest hits of Rajinikath.

War 2 Box Office Collection Day 7

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Hrithik Roshan with Jr NTR, had a strong first week and managed to keep audiences interested. The film opened with Rs 52 crore in India and even saw an 11 per cent growth on Day 2. However, from Saturday onwards, the box office collections gradually slowed down.

According to trade estimates published by Sacnilk, War 2 earned Rs 5.5 crore on Day 7, pushing its week-one total to around Rs 199 crore across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions. The film registered an overall Hindi occupancy of 10.21 per cent on Wednesday, with evening and night shows faring better than morning screenings.

While it has not yet crossed the Rs 200 crore milestone yet in India, the action-packed drama has firmly established itself as one of 2025’s biggest box office events. With strong word-of-mouth, and a star-studded cast, War 2 is expected to maintain steady collections in its second week.
