Chhaava showed strong signs of being a box-office hit on its third friday. The film collected an impressive Rs 13.25 crore, taking its domestic nett collections to Rs 412.5 crore. This makes it the highest-grossing film in both Vicky Kaushal’s and director Laxman Utekar’s careers.

With Chhaava, Rashmika Mandanna has secured her third consecutive entry into the Rs 500 crore club worldwide, following Animal and Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film’s steady box-office performance has placed it among the top 25 highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

Setting new records

With no significant competition in theaters, Chhaava is on track to surpass the lifetime collections of Bollywood blockbusters like Dhoom 3, Tiger Zinda Hai, Padmaavat, and Sanju. Nearly a quarter of its earnings come from international markets, while its domestic collections continue to rise steadily.

Closing in on Baahubali: The Beginning

At Rs 412.92 crore domestically, Chhaava is just Rs 8 crore away from overtaking Baahubali: The Beginning. Given its momentum, this milestone could be achieved as early as today. Additionally, it has already surpassed Salaar: The Ceasefire and 2.0 in domestic earnings.

Starring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj alongside Akshaye Khanna, Vineeth Kumar Singh, and Divya Dutta, Chhaava continues to captivate audiences.
