Salman Khan has raised the stakes with his never-seen-before Battle of Galwan look, unveiled on his 60th birthday on December 27, 2025. In his career spanning almost four decades, Salman has constantly evolved himself as an actor. From stealing hearts as a romantic hero to getting into action mode in his Dabangg avatar, the actor turns soldier for his upcoming film helmed by director Apoorva Lakhia.

While it is speculated that Salman is set to play Colonel Santosh Babu in the film, a source told Hindustan Times that the film isn’t a biopic on him but roughly based on events of Galwan Valley clash.

Battle of Galwan which is inspired from 2020–2021 India-China skirmishes has apparently angered China as the state-run-newspaper Global Times objected to the portrayal of the battle calling it ‘over-the-top’ film and saying the events “do not align with the facts’.

“The Bollywood films at most provide an entertainment-driven, emotionally charged portrayal, but no amount of cinematic exaggeration can rewrite the history or shake the PLA’s determination to defend China’s sovereign territory,” said the report.
